Depression is just a feeling.  Sometimes it is very difficult to see that when we are in the moment.  With proper help and care, we can manage our depression.  As a sufferer for many years, I know how hard it can be to move past this debilatating feeling.  We get so caught up in the moment that we can’t see anything else.  Even the wonderful blessings that are right in front of us.  Therapy, a good support system and possibly medication can help to manage depression.  It’s a long road and we many hit many bumps along the way.  After all, we are only human and are capable of only so much.  We may feel alone this is why having a support system is so important.  Even if it’s just one friend or family member.  We need to take comfort that there are people there to support us and there are resources we can look to.  There are many websites and self help books out there that are amazing and have helped me.  Mindfulness has also become an important part of my life.  It helps me through many difficult times and just getting through tasks.  Staying busy is also another way to combat depression.  Distractions are a good way to shake off thoughts of depression.  I have so much hope for all out there that suffer from depression and hope you can get through it!!
